✅ Crime Prevention Tips:
🎃Halloween Safety Advice from Your Neighbourhood Policing Team 👻
We want everyone to enjoy a safe and happy Halloween, but we also recognise this time of year can be stressful for people who are elderly, vulnerable or live alone. There are lots of things you can do to help your neighbours feel safe this Halloween:
We also encourage you to have a conversation with your children about trick or treating safely:
Whilst Halloween is intended to be fun, any pranks or "tricks" must remain within the law. Criminal damage, anti-social behaviour, harassment, or behaviour that causes alarm, distress, or fear will not be tolerated and may result in police action. Let's work together to ensure everyone has a safe, enjoyable, and respectful Halloween. Advice for shopkeepers and supermarket staff: Avoid selling eggs, flour, and toilet paper in bulk to young people. If you see anything suspicious you can contact us on 101. Remember that selling fireworks to under-18s is an offence.
We expect to receive an increase in 101 and 999 calls during Halloween and need to make sure that we can deal with your needs in the quickest and most appropriate way. If your report does not require an urgent response, you can report a crime online or by calling 101. In an emergency, call 999
